What beautiful spring-like weather here in Western Loudoun this week! There’s no better motivator than nice temperatures to take a look around your garden and decide what you’d like to grow. February is the perfect month to make your plan and order seeds. One of our favorite ways to start by looking through catalogs and gardening magazines, clipping ideas out as we go.
Companies like Southern Exposure Seed Exchange not only carry good seeds well suited to this region, including many heirloom varieties, but they offer growing guides and garden planning apps. Renee’s Garden is another great site that has helpful growing information, including videos, in addition to offering “The Best Heirloom & Gourmet Vegetable, Flower & Herb Seeds.”
